These gifts are given by God's grace to us as believers, and they are meant to be used for the benefit and edification of the body of Christ (other Christians). Each gift plays a unique role in building up the church, promoting unity, and expressing God's love and grace to the world. In Romans 12:6-8, shows 7 different gifts that are given to believers from God to benefit others... If you're in the church then you have these gifts in you. You'll likely be strongest in one or two of these gifts.

  • Prophecy

    The gift of prophecy involves speaking forth God's messages to individuals or the church. It includes foretelling (predicting future events) and forthtelling (speaking God's truth, guidance, or encouragement in the present). Those with this gift are called to communicate God's truth with clarity and conviction.

  • Serving

    The gift of serving, also known as the gift of helps, involves a desire and ability to meet practical needs within the church and the community. Those with this gift have a servant's heart and joyfully serve others by assisting, supporting, and meeting tangible needs.

  • Teaching

    The gift of teaching involves the ability to explain and communicate biblical truths in a way that helps others understand and apply them. Teachers have a deep understanding of God's Word and can effectively instruct and equip believers to live out their faith and apply biblical principles to their lives.

  • Exhortation

    The gift of exhortation, also known as encouragement, involves coming alongside others to offer comfort, support, and motivation. Those with this gift have a special ability to uplift and inspire others, offering words of encouragement, challenge, and hope.

  • Giving

    The gift of giving involves a generous and sacrificial attitude toward material possessions and resources. Those with this gift joyfully contribute their resources to support the needs of others and the work of the kingdom of God. They give with a cheerful heart, without seeking recognition or reward.

  • Leadership

    The gift of leadership involves the ability to guide, direct, and motivate others toward a common goal. Leaders provide vision, guidance, and organization to help the church or a group of believers function effectively and reach their full potential.

  • Mercy

    The gift of mercy involves having a compassionate heart and a special sensitivity to the needs and sufferings of others. Those with this gift show kindness, empathy, and practical assistance to individuals who are hurting or in distress.
